Untagged image
[edit]An image you uploaded, Image:HMS Bramham crest.jpg, was tagged with the {{coatofarms}} copyright tag. This tag was deleted because it does not actually specify the copyright status of the image. The image may need a more accurate copyright tag, or it may need to be deleted. If the image portrays a seal or emblem, it should be tagged as {{seal}}. If you have any questions, ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. -- 01:20, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
Image:Kelb_Tal-Fenek.jpg listed for deletion
[edit]An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Kelb_Tal-Fenek.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. The file File:The ohio.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
File is missing clear and verifiable source information, redundant to the correctly sourced and higher resolution File:SS-Ohio supported.jpg
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. mattbr 14:47, 19 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Mattbr maybe its an overused photo in many places on the web which is synonymous with the August 1942 convoy. I tend to say its iconic. Probably its origin is by the RN Michaelb1983 (talk) 18:18, 19 December 2024 (UTC)
- All content needs clear and verifiable source information to refer to, which in this case would be a link to the website the image was taken from, which this file doesn't have. This version of the image is currently not used in any articles. File:SS-Ohio supported.jpg is a different version of the image, uncropped and slightly higher resolution, which has a clear source and which is used in several articles so the event will continue to be pictured. mattbr 14:03, 20 December 2024 (UTC)
