High schools in Wilmington, Delaware

[edit]

Greetings. I can only assume from your edits that you are likely unfamiliar with Delaware geography. Though the postal address for many of the schools you have recategorized may indeed be "Wilmington", most are in no way associated with the "City of Wilmington". There are other schools in the suburban area that are actually closer to the city, but may have different postal addresses. Delaware does not have enough high schools to need further categorization other than "High schools in Delaware". The only meaningful further breakdown would be "High schools in New Castle County", but even that is likely unnecessary. I will post a copy of this rationale to the discussion for your newly devised category. HokieRNB (talk) 18:18, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Graz

[edit]

I have read the arguments on the talk page and I see no reason why would the word "Graz" stem directly from the Slovenian language. I see that old Slovenian used the words "grad" or "gradec" for a castle, but old Croatian used them too and they're still preserved as archaisms and used sometimes. There is no reason to believe that the word comes from Slovenian. There are many castles and ruins of them named "grad" or "gradina" all around Croatia and Gornji Grad, the historic district of Zagreb is also known as "gradec", which, translated from 13th century Croatian, means "castle". Therefore, "gradec" is not a word specific to Slovenian and the only argument left to the Slovenian language is the influence due to geographical proximity. Also, I'm not sure how much did the Slavic languages differ or how were they perceived to differ in the 12th century. I have also thought to replace it with something like "Slavic" or "common Slavic" or remove alltogether, but I was certain that it would just stir the waters and bring on an edit war, which I do not wish to participate in. Speedy deletion of Image:Feltsman.jpg

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Image:Feltsman.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free image with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria.

If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the image can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{non-free fair use in|article name that the image is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the image. If the image has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Feltsman.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Missmarple! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 2 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Hyung-ki Joo

[edit]

Dear Missmarple, I've found a mistake in one of your articles: Hyung-Ki Joo is NOT called Richard with first or second name. I have deleted all Richards in the article, but it was impossible for me to change it in the actual wiki entry (headline). Can you? The artist would be ever so happy to see his proper name in the Wikipedia entry. (Amphitryon AR (talk) 16:23, 15 September 2015 (UTC))[reply]
