I'm not sure that anyone reads this but is there a place for Wiki Discussion. Like a general board or anything like that?
- If I understand you correctl, the most general discussion is the Village Pump. There are also IRC channels, etc.-- Jmabel 18:37, Jul 22, 2004 (UTC)
I'd like to know about adjusting my Username among other things.--Scorn 21:36, 18 Jul 2004 (UTC)
re your question on my discussion page: hardly surprising that it's a US show, but (if I remember correctly) it didn't even say it was a TV show. Yes, once you read the article that's all obvious, but first sentence should give context like that. If someone gets there randomly, or follows a link to a page, they should know in the first sentence that (for example) this is an article about a US TV show. Just like biographies should start out right away saying in what capacity the person is most famous, not who their parents were (unless that's why they ar famous!)... and "biographies" of fictional characters (e.g. Pierre Menard) should start out making it clear that the person is fictional. -- Jmabel 18:37, Jul 22, 2004 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello GaryEH! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 4 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Please claim your upload(s): File:Turntable-3.jpg
[edit]Hi, This image was seemingly uploaded prior to current image polices, Thank you.
However, as part of ongoing efforts to ensure all media on English Wikipedia is correctly licensed and attributed it would be appreciated if you were able to confirm, that it was your own work, by marking it as {{own}}, amending the {{information}} added by a third party, and by changing the license to an appropriate "self" variant. You can also add |claimed=yes
to the {{Media by uploader}} or {{Presumed self}} tag(s) if present to indicate that you've acknowledged the image, and license shown (and updated the {{information}} where appropriate).
IF you have other uploads, please consider "claiming" them in a similar manner, You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
This will assist those reviewing the many many "free" images on commons that have not yet been transferred to Commons.
